Mary R. Herrighty

Mary Rose (nee Cullen) Herrighty, 85, passed away August 21, 2012 at Fountain View Nursing Home in Lakewood. Mrs. Herrighty was born in Irvington, NJ and lived in Union, NJ for over 50 years before settling in Lakewood for the last year. Mary was a secretary for St. Michael’s Elementary School in Union for many years. She loved to read, garden and most of all spent time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Herrighty is survived by her husband of 65 years Michael, five sons, Michael, Lawrence, Kevin, Brian, and Sean, three daughters, Kathy Karpich, Pattie McDaniell, and Mary Spang, seventeen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brother, Eugene Cullen and sister, Rita Collani. Friends may call Friday, August 24, 2012 from 4-8 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10:30AM at the St. Mary of the Lake Church in Lakewood. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mary’s memory to the charity of your choice.
