Mary P. Costello Hurley

Mary Costello Hurley, 90, of Lakewood passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Atlantic Coast Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Lakewood, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY and formerly of Oakland, NJ, she moved to Lakewood in 1998. After being a homemaker for many years, she worked at American Cyanamid inWayne, NJ for 10 years as a secretary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. She was the daughter of the late Catherine and Thomas Costello, and was predeceased by her husband John A. Hurley in 2012. Mary is survived by her 5 sons and daughters-in-law, John and Nancy, James and Phyllis, Thomas and Jan, Terence and Nora, and Joseph and Susan; 2 daughters, Catherine and Mary; 3 brothers, Vincent, John and Patrick Costello; 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. Visitation will be Friday, June 14 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Saturday, June 15 in the St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will follow in the parish cemetery mausoleum.
