Mary A. Woolley

Mary A. Woolley was born on November 21st 1926 and passed from this world on Thursday May 31st. She was born and raised in Shenandoah, Pa. with her 5 sisters. In 1944 Mary moved to NJ and worked for the Federal Civil Service, shortly thereafter she met and married Joseph C. Woolley Sr. in 1947. In 1950 they settled into Long Branch, NJ and started to raise their family of four daughters and two sons.

After retiring from the Federal Government in 1988 Mary worked for the NJ State Tax department for five years, retiring for the final time in 1995. Mary has always enjoyed her family and many friends from playing bingo and cards at several local communities and numerous Atlantic City poker rooms.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Woolley Sr., daughter Theresa M. Scott and grandson Joseph Cammarano.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her children; Kathleen Malinowski, of Toms River, NJ, Joseph C. and his wife Barbara Woolley of West Long Branch, NJ, Mary-Jo and her husband William Owens of Milford, Delaware, Donna Popo Cianflone and her husband Thomas of Long Branch, NJ, Richard Woolley of Toms River, NJ, and Theresa M. Scott and her husband Brad of Toms River, NJ. Sister; Helen Fazio of Hershey Pa. From her children’s marriages Mary has many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild as well as she is loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 PM, and 7-9 PM, at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood.

Funeral mass will be held Monday, St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Avenue, Lakewood. Interment, St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood
