Pasquale "Patsy" Ferro, a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many, passed away on July 7, 2023. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on October 20, 1929, in Jersey City, NJ, to John and Colomba Ferro, Patsy was the third child in a close-knit Italian family.
From a young age, Patsy demonstrated his sense of duty by joining the military and serving in the Army during World War II in Japan. His bravery and unwavering patriotism were an inspiration to all who knew him.
Upon returning to New Jersey after his military service, Patsy found love and companionship in Elizabeth, whom he married. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with five children—Pat John, Dora, Colombia, Nancy, and Rose. Their love was a testament to their enduring bond and provided a strong foundation for their family.
Tragically, Patsy experienced the loss of his beloved Elizabeth in 1988, leaving an irreplaceable void in his heart. In the years that followed, he divided his time between New Jersey and Florida, seeking solace and new beginnings.
In 2010, fate brought Patsy into the life of Nedina, and their connection was instantaneous. They joined their lives in marriage, and Patsy embraced his new family with open arms. He became a cherished father and grandfather figure to his stepchildren bringing warmth and joy into their lives.
Patsy lived life to the fullest and found joy in a wide range of activities. An avid baseball fan, he passionately supported the New York Yankees. Whether swimming, socializing, hitting the gym, or trying his luck at the casino, Patsy's presence always radiated with laughter and excitement. His boisterous nature and quick wit made any gathering lively and filled with joy.
Above all, Patsy held a deep love for children and treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. His affection extended to his furry friends, as he was a devoted dog lover who found companionship in his beloved Yorkshire terrier guardian, Flor.
Patsy is survived by his loving wife, Nedina, as well as his siblings, John and Rose. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his children—Pat John, Dora, Colombia, Nancy, and Rose—his stepchildren, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
As we bid farewell to Patsy, let us celebrate his vibrant spirit and the laughter he shared. May his memory continue to bring smiles to our faces and warmth to our hearts.
