Rae Cuesta Harvey

Born in San Diego, CA, she resided in England, where she met and married her husband, before settling in New Jersey in 1950.

Prior to retiring, she was a teacher at the Mansion Avenue School in Audubon, NJ. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Berkeley, where she was also elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Royal Air Force Squadron Leader P.G.A. Harvey, DFC (Ret.) 46 years ago; and her sister, Marjorie Martin this past May.

Surviving is her son, Gerald C. Harvey and his wife, Keiko, of Bay Head; 2 grandchildren: Edward Harvey and his wife Devon, and Emma Giamartino and her husband Vincent; 3 grandchildren: Laird, Scarlett and Francesca; a brother-in-law Elliot Martin; and a nephew and niece: Richard and Linda.

Friends may call at St. Raphael Episcopal Church on Saturday from 9:00am-11:00am.

Funeral services will be held under the direction of D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte. 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood on Saturday at 11:00am at St. Raphael Episcopal Church, Brick immediately following the visitation. Cremation will be private.
