Raymond G. Mullady

Raymond G. Mullady, 84, passed away January 3, 2011 at his home in Lakewood. He spent 35 years in Scotch Plains before settling in Lakewood for the past 13 years. Mr. Mullady was an owner\operator of Rapid Assembling Agency which later evolved into Ultimate Distribution in Edison and Superior Warehousing in Edison which was the East Coast distributor for Coors Beer Distributors, retiring in 1993. He served in the Navy during World War II. Raymond was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 361, Knights of Columbus in Rahway, Quartet Member, Newark Traffic Club, Board Member for the Colonia Country Club where he won the Buddy Buddy Tournament in 1989, and a Charter Member of the Eagle Ridge Golf Club where he won the Flight C Tournament in 2000. Raymond was a proud golf rule enthusiast who’s talent and good fortune allowed him two holes in one. Mr. Mullady was greatly adored by his family especially his grandchildren and friends and everyone loved his sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors: Raymond is survived by wife of 62 years Dorothy, four children, Doreen May and her husband Patrick of Rockville, MD, Raymond G. Mullady Jr. and his wife Melissa, of Annapolis, MD, Karen McDonough and her husband Thomas of Wall, NJ, and Lynn Scanzani and her husband Robert of Stony Brook, NY, ten Grandchildren, Caitlin May Russo and her husband Matthew of Phoenix, AZ, Bridget and Brendan May, Kelsey, Trey, and Jaime Mullady, Thomas, Matthew, Kyle, and Kerri McDonough, and one sister Eileen Miller.

Services: Friends may call Wednesday, January 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2010 at 9:30AM at the Church of the Visitation in Brick. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, in Lakewood.
