Rita Donaldson Rempe, 83, of Lakewood passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Kimball Medical Center. She was born in Scranton, PA on June 14, 1926. She was married to Frank A. Rempe in 1948 and moved to Freehold and then moved to Lakewood in 1957. Before moving to New Jersey, Rita attended and graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Scranton and later retired as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for many years. She was devoted to her family and held them all close to her heart.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank A. Rempe in 2003. She is survived by her children Paul Rempe of Lakewood and Tom Rempe and his wife Louise Rempe of Belmar.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rte. 70 & Vermont Ave. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood. Entombment to follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery.
