Sy was born on April 7, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, and he was the son of the late Samuel and Rose Steinfeld. He was a retired buyer for MD Kramer Locksmith in Brooklyn, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Arlene Gold and her husband Allan, and Beth Wexler and her husband Craig; four grandchildren, Allyson Gold, Justin Wexler and his wife Kristin, and Jenna Wexler. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Stenfield.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will follow in the Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003.
