Walter L. Stermer, age 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ on December 14, 1927 and was the son of the late Louis and Kathryn Stermer. Walter was a resident of Bridgewater, NJ for 30 years prior to moving to Toms River 16 years ago. He was a retired Executive Vice President for A & F Cutter tool and die services that once operated in Kennilworth, NJ. Walter was a member of the Lake Ridge Bowling Club. Husband of the late Joan E. Stermer, he is survived by his children, Susan Stermer of Bound Brook, NJ and Mark Stermer of Red Bank, NJ; a sister, Elsie DiGiovine of Lakewood and several nieces and nephews. His funeral services will be conducted privately. He will be laid to rest with his late wife in St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Watchung, NJ.
