

On August 12, 1956 in Galveston, Texas, a handsome baby boy was born to Essie Mitchell and Myrtle Deyon. They named their blessing, Aaron Mitchell Deyon. Aaron was educated in Galveston public schools and was a 1974 graduate of Ball High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his tour of duty until his honorable discharge. A loyal and dedicated worker, he was employed as a Process Technician with Dow Chemicals. On August 15, 1986 in Galveston, Texas, Aaron united in Holy Matrimony to Diana Nicholas. They then made their loving home in League City, Texas. They were members of and worshipped at Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas, Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell. They later united with Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church in Hitchcock under Pastor William L. Randall, Jr. where they faithfully serve. Aaron served as a Greeter, member of the Mighty Men Chorus and worked with the Maintenance Ministry. On July 26, 2012 in Houston, Texas, Aaron's spirit returned to His Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Essie "Mitch" Mitchell and Myrtle Deyon; grandparents, Valarie Adams and Mary F. Perry and brother, Bradford Deyon Sr. Although his earthly presence is no longer with us, the memories of his fruitful life will continue to live on in our hearts. To celebrate his Victory in Jesus are his devoted and loving wife, Diana M. Deyon; his children, Aaron Deyon Jr. (Iesha), Dwight Nicholas Jr., Deyona Monae Nicholas and Ashley Deyon; his adopted Goddaughters, Ashley Chambers Grimes and Rini George; his grandchildren, Ariana, Jordan, Taya, Jayda, London, England, Asia, Josiah, Cisco, LaKayla and Ireland; his devoted stepmother, Wanda Mitchell Holt; his sisters, Yvonne "Mookie" Deyon and KaJuana Mitchell; brothers, Roland Deyon, Kenneth Mitchell (Margie) and Joseph White (Dena); devoted in-laws, Carrie Foley (Bill), Evelyn Chambers, Corine Chambers, Joyce Sallier (Frank), LG Chambers (Lizzest), Robert Washington, Spellman Washington, Nathaniel Tobey; devoted friends, Joey Harrison, Daryl Ard, Ellen Ellisor, Irma Chaney and The Five Married Couples; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, church members, relatives and friends.
