A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Arlene James made her transition from earth to glory on February 9, 2015 at her home with her beloved daughter by her side. Mrs. James was a longtime resident of Texas City and was a longtime member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church where she actively served until her health prevented her from attending. She is survived by a devoted and loving daughter, Sandra James Williams and husband, Irving; granddaughters, Arleeshia James Taylor and husband, Chris Taylor and Jesseka Clark and husband, Reginald Clark Jr.; greatsons, D'Ante James, D'Aundre Harris and Kendric Henderson Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.
