

Beverly D. Rollins Lanier was born June 16, 1961 in Galveston, Texas to Howard D. Rollins, Jr. and Dorris Ann Burnett. She was educated in the public schools of La Marque, Texas and was a 1979 graduate of La Marque High School. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Texas City under the leadership of the late Rev. M. C. Bridges. She later united with the Hopewell Baptist Church family in Texas City under the leadership of Pastor Joel Clay. Peaches as she was lovingly called, was known for her crazy, spontaneous and giving spirit. She could make you laugh and make you cry. On May 12, 2015, God called His child home to rest. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard D. Rollins Jr. and Dorris Ann Burnett. Left to cherish memories of her life are her husband, Otis P. Lanier; her beloved daughter, Stacie D. Hunter; her cherished grandchildren, Noah "Sweet Baby" as she affectionately called him, and Kayden who she thought was her own; brothers, Howard Rollins III, Marvin Rollins, Ronnie Rollins and Tracy Rollins; sisters, Regina Rollins, Alice Cravens (Marcus), Kimberli Helaire-Smith (Odell), Yolanda Dorsey (Curtis) and LaShonda VanHook (Clinton); and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Stacie is asking for family and friends to join her in wearing Cream and Pearls at the celebration! It will be greatly appreciated!
