

Bobby Lee Logon, fondly known as Bob was born on November 7, 1930 to his parents the late Mr. Robert S. and the late Mrs. Roxie Anne Pulley Logan in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bob received his formal education in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania public school system from 1936-1942. After receiving his high school diploma, Bob chose to further his education by first attending The Electronic Technical School, USMC in Illinois; subsequently, he attended Radar Technician School, U.S.M.C. in California. After he got his certification from technical school, Bob joined the Marines. He received an honorable discharge in March, 1960. After which time, his career directions lead him to seek employment in the Aerospace business with Lockheed Electronics in Houston, Texas from 1975 until he retired in 1997. Bob was a good and faithful servant of the Lord's. As such, he proclaimed membership at St. James A.M.E. Church under auspices of the Rev. Leo Griffin. He worked tirelessly in various capacities for St. James. During his service he was a member of the Steward Board, the Building Fund, and the Finance Committee. However, his most cherished duty was generating the weekly church program. Whenever it came to technology, he was always ready, willing and able lend his expertise to advance the service of the Lord. Bob departed this life on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Clear Lake Hospital at the age of 82 after a brief hospital stint. Bob is preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Lois Jacquelynne Logan & his only sister, Mrs. Louise Sunkett. He leaves to cherish him memory: his wife Viola, of 28 years; one brother, Peter Wesley Logan; 3 daughters, Sharon Logan Miller (Clement); Diane Logan Swint (Reginald) both of Philadelphia, PA and Mae Katherine Edwards (Dennis) of Dickinson, TX; one son, Louis Dean Davis of Dickinson, TX; 10 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren; six sister-in-law: Mary Brown of Dickinson, TX, Rose Harris of Friendswood, TX , Florence Davis of San Diego, CA, Dorothy Jones of Austin, Shirley Jefferson of Houston, TX, and Sharon Davis of Dickinson, TX ; four brother-in-laws Ben Davis, Willie Davis, Bobby Jefferson of Houston, TX and Benny C. Davis of Cedar Creek, TX; 2 special great nephews Gavin and Braylon Jones both of Dickinson, TX and Monique Simon and sons all of Dickinson, TX; and a host of relatives and friends.
