Donald Ray Brown Sr.

Donald Ray Brown Sr. was born to the union of Richard Brown Sr. and Helen Hayes Brown on October 29, 1948 in La Marque, Texas. Donald was educated in the public schools of La Marque, Texas and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Donald was employed as a Supervisor at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston; and was attending Hunter's Chapel C.M.E. Church in Texas City. He departed this life to be with the Lord on September 6, 2015 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen Brown; sisters, Lillian E. Bingley, Helen Davis and Shirley Gamble; and grandson, Christian DeRay Brown. Left to celebrate his legacy are his beloved wife, Deborah Brown; his children, Donna Renee Brown-Adams and husband, Derrick Adams, Donald Ray Brown, Jr., DeWayne Ray Brown and Denise Renee Brown-Sumlin and husband, Lee Drue Sumlin III; his sisters, Ida Yancy and Margaret Guillory and husband, Clayton Guillory; brother, Richard Brown, Jr. and wife, Cora Brown; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
