

On July 13, 1941 in Angleton, Texas, a baby girl was born to Lewis Hopkins and Janie Bell Carter. They named their blessing from God, Elizabeth Lorraine Hopkins, fondly known as "Patsy. Patsy was a longtime employee of LaMarque Independent School District and Durham Transportation as a Bus Driver, one of the best they ever had in the district. She was also employed at Mainland Medical Center; and was a dedicated member of New Beginning Church in League City.God called our beloved Patsy home on the afternoon of July 26, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Hopkins and Janie Washington; sisters, Deborah Spears, Holly Quinine and Jeanette Lyles; and brother, Leroy Washington.Left to celebrate her legacy of love and family values are her husband, Charles Rogers; devoted daughters, Sharon Howard (Rodger Jackson), Renita Mixon (Craig), Jannell Robinson (Otis), Traina Howard, Tamika Rogers and Kiamesha Goynes (Dwain); 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Velma Godley and Lois Hopkins; brothers, James Archie, Jerry Hopkins and Leonard Hopkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
