Johnnie V Trotty Mozie

Johnnie Virginia Mozie was born April 18, 1933 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was raised in Tenaha, Texas. Later she moved to La Marque, Texas and then to Dickinson, Texas where she and her husband, Charles Mozie raised their family. Johnnie married the love of her life Charles Mozie on November 20, 1953 by the late Rev. Wiley L. Dunn Sr. at Greater Bell Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Texas City, Texas. Both were active members until they united with Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of League City. Johnnie was a nurse for many years at UTMB Hospital in Galveston. She also worked for the Dickinson Independent School District for 20 years; and was a hair dresser for many people throughout Dickinson, Texas. She was an active member of Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, member of the Women's Mission, Deaconess and worked in the kitchen. She served faithfully until her health failed. On May 11, 2015, SIster Johnnie Mozie entered her eternal life to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her paretns, Dallas and Roxie Trotty; one son, Charles Mozie Jr.; two brothers, Isaiah and Charlie Lee; and her loving husband, Charles Mozie. Johnnie leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Gail P. McCall (Cedric), Tracie L. Mozie, Jeffery C. Mozie (Rita) Gregory Mozie and Joseph Mozie (Patricia; a brother, Dallas Trotty Jr of Detroit, Michigan.; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris Eirven and Mary Mozie; and a host of family and friends.
