Kenneth W. Taylor

Kenneth Wayne Taylor was born December 14, 1945 in Galveston, Texas to Roy B. Taylor and Rosa Taylor. Kenneth was educated in the public school system of Galveston and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964. On March 5, 2012, at the age of 66, Kenneth's pain ceased and he entered into his eternal slumber. God saw the road was getting rough and hills were hard to climb, He whispered softly in his ear and said, Kenneth, peace be thine." He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Shanacey Lawson; sister, Barbara Rollins and brothers, Roy B. Taylor Jr. and Arnold Taylor. Kenneth's memories will forever be in the hearts of those who loved him dearly: his children, son, David Roach (Velvet); daughters, Connie Baker (Charlie) and Nina Mitchell (Willis); his siblings, William Taylor (Carolyn) and Rosalin Garcia-Buchanan. Special times will be remembered by those most treasured in his life, the grandchildren, Chasidee Baker, Jessalyn Roach, Kaleigh Roach, Courtney and Tyler Garris, Shanacey Lawson II, Sha-NiaKenise Lawson, Nia and Cameron Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Anthony Rollins, William Taylor II, Edward Taylor, David Kaufman, Ilana Kaufman and Alicia Ward; and a host of other relatives and friends; and Lillie Canady, his loving companion and her family, as well as the Lincoln High Class of 1964.
