Mr. Wayne Douglas Montgomery

Wayne Douglas Montgomery was born July 29, 1959 from the union of Lorain and Norma Montgomery. He accepted Christ at an early age where he attended Bell Zion Baptist Church and then Rising Star. Wayne graduated in 1977 from La Marque High School and later attended Baylor University.He later married and from this union his son Christopher Montgomery was born. Wayne stayed in Waco a number of years working for Owens-Illinois glass plant where he created many lasting friendships. While there he met a special friend, Cheryl Denise Flye. After leaving Owens-Illinois in 2000, Wayne returned to Texas City to help care for his ailing mother. During this time he  returned to school  and received an Associates degree in Process Technology. He started his own lawn service where he had commercial and residential customers. He  continued to operate his service until his health began to fail. Wayne leaves to cherish his memories a son, Christopher Montgomery;  a daughter LaCresha Flye; brother, Keith Montgomery and a host of friends and family.
