

Ralph L. Ellis was born November 4, 1954 to Roosevelt Sr. and Rosetta Kemp Ellis. Ralph's early education was completed at La Marque High School - Class of 1973. He started his military career that same year. He retired from the military in October 1986. During his service in the military he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy "Mac" McBean. To this union was born 4 children. After completing his family he went on to further his education and received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Pastor Ralph Ellis went on to be with the Lord on April 21, 2014. In his brief 59 years of life he was able to inspire many. He was a devoted family man who extended his love and wisdom not only to his family, but to anyone he encountered. Ralph left a tremendous legacy of many great things in which he not only preached, but so diligently lived by. Though he knew that the example that he set was not always an easy one to follow; all he would ask is to "put God first." He gave his entire life to his country, family and God; and now he has received everlasting life. And the Lord said, "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thou Lord." He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosetta Ellis and Roosevelt Ellis Sr.; and brother, Arnold Ellis Sr. Left to cherish memories of his life are his devoted wife, Dorothy Ellis; his children, Charity Ellis Bates, Ramon Ellis, Dr. Charli Ellis and Ryan Ellis; sisters, Marsha Randall (Aubry), Darlene Delaney (Paul), Debbie Ellis, Lucinda Marshall (Henry); brothers, Roosevelt Ellis Jr. (Dianne), Robert Ellis (Cassie), Curtis Ellis (Joyce) and Jimmy Ellis; sister-in-law, Edna McBean; 5 grandchildren; an aunt, Mysterious Roberts, an uncle, Gus Kemp; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
