

Alberta F. Mace, 92, of Carroll, OH, passed away January 19, 2016 at the Fairfield Medical Center. Alberta was born August 19, 1923 to the late Earl and Kathryn (Bowers) Yantes. She was a member of the Shalom United Methodist Church, OCCL, Lions Club, Seal of Ohio Girl Scout Council, United Methodist Women, and graduate of Lancaster High School.
Survived by her son David (Nancy) Mace of Carroll; daughters, Ronda (Lloyd) Dickerson of Lancaster, Marla (Paul) Baltz of Gladstone, IL, Debra (Kenny) Crago of Frankfort, OH; brothers, Gale (Mary) Yantes of Lancaster, and Lowell (Dianne) Yantes of Alexandria, OH; grandchildren Chris, Joshua, Shayne and Christopher Mace and Tyler Kessler; Megan Smith and Melissa McClurg; Jake Baltz and Kristen Logan, K.J. and Laura Crago; Marla Robbins and Mark Mallory; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law Charles Nichols and special friend Bob Dittoe of Lancaster.
Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Mace; parents; daughter, Donna (Jim) Mallory; brother, Wayne Yantes; brother-in-law, Kenneth Mace; and sisters-in-law, Erma Mace and Ruth Nichols.
Funeral Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Barbara Salyers officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Betzer Cemetery at the family’s convenience. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. For those wishing to attend, there will be a Lions International service at 3:45 p.m. led by Lions Chaplain Richard West.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shalom United Methodist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society in memory of her daughter, Donna.
