
LANCASTER: Charles H. Evans, 76, of Lancaster, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday January 18, 2016 at the Pickering House. Charles was born in Lancaster, June 19th, 1939 to the late James and Juanita Evans. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was an employee of Anchor Hocking for 43 years. He also enjoyed wood working and was a past member of the Lancaster Pigeon Club. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dana Tremper; granddaughter, Carrie Morrison, as well as several brother in laws, nieces and nephews.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley; children: Kevin (Kay), Todd, Doug and his special friend, Lora Cox, Travis(Jen); sisters, Charlotte Smith and Beverly Bradford; grandchildren, Jessica (Wesley) Evans, Josh Evans, Brandon Watson, Tessa (Kyle) Carpenter, Aisha (David) Evans, Trevor Evans, Lexi Towler, Tyler Evans, Teagan Evans; great-grandchildren, Carter Evans, and Caiden Evans; other special family: Sheila and Shawn Heck, Adam, Sarah, Jane, and Sam Heck; Mary Heck; Anne Heck; Katie and Martin Kellenbarger, Ella, Liam and Garret Kellenbarger, Julie Garey as well as special friend Carrie Wears.Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 21st at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home at 11AM, with Pastor John Kindsvatter officiating. Friends may call Wednesday January 20th from 2-4PM & 6-8PM as well as one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pickering House or the Christ Lutheran Church, 2704 Boving Road, Lancaster, OH 43130
