Charles "Bud" E. Smith

Charles E. "Bud" Smith, 76, Lancaster, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Fairfield Medical Center. Charles was born July 4, 1938 in South Shore, Kentucky the son of the late Charles H. And Hazel L. Smith Hall. He served his country in the United States Navy, member of V.F.W., AmVets, Eagles and numerous Bowling Leagues.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jennifer L. Smith, son, Charles (Kenny) Smith; daughters, Leisa (John) Marcum, Wendy ( Patrick) Trace; grandchildren, Jessica, Charles "Bud", Mary, Rachel, Jennifer, Robert, Joshua, Maggie and Justin; great grandchildren, Damien, Jolene, Weston; brothers, John (Donna) Smith, Jimmy Lee (Debbie) Hall, sisters, Shirley Frasher and Glenna (Terry) Hopkins, sister-in-law, Nancy Hall; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Keith Hall, sister, Marilyn Colt.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
