Edith M Thomas

Edith Deahl Thomas, 75, passed March 13, 2023 with family by her side. She was born April 24, 1947 to Walter and Mary (Egan) Deahl. She was a member of Sixth Avenue Methodist Church, Olivedale, and New Lexington High School class of 1965.

Edith is survived by her children Chad (Kristie) Thomas, Carla Arriaga, all of Rancho Cordova, CA, Pamela (Lou) Bliss of Wakeman, OH, Matthew (Tammy) Mooter of Stoutsville, OH, and Stephanie (Steve) of Rushville, OH; sisters Mary Mooter and Ada (Cookie) Donahue; brothers-in-law; sister-in-law; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Edith is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Carl Thomas; parents; brothers Walter Deahl, Charles Deahl, and Larry Deahl; and brothers-in-law David Mooter and Joe Donahue.

Edith spent much of her life around her children and grandchildren, doing crafts and scrapbooks, and gardening. She enjoyed flowers, creating wedding bouquets and designs. Edith was a nature lover who enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband and traveling the US. She found joy in the great outdoors and making new friends while camping. Even with her disability, life still brought her great pleasure.

Edith will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Calling hours are Friday, March 17 from 5PM-8PM and Saturday, March 18 10AM-11AM at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11AM with burial at Forest Rose Cemetery to follow.
