Eileen Maud Weaver Lantz

Eileen Maud Weaver Lantz, 90, passed away peacefully on November 29. Born and raised in Detroit, Eileen married her sweetheart James (Pop) Lantz, and they were longtime residents of Lancaster, OH for more than 70 years. Eileen had an amazing sense of humor, loved gardening, entertaining, reading, and was very involved in her community. She was a great athlete, excelling at the game of golf which allowed her to combine her loves of being outdoors and close to nature. She loved spending time at their residence in Hilton Head, SC where she spent hours combing the beach and enjoying sand and surf. Eileen was an amazing woman, loved by many, and dedicated to her family. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband James A.; sons James W. and Charles J.; brothers James and Charles Weaver; and parents Elon and Maude.She is survived by daughter Susan Maud (Richard) Carr; grandchildren Leslie (Brandon) McBride, Jennifer Lantz, Andrea (Eric) Rothfeld, Jamie (Cory) Kilbarger, and Jamison Lantz; great-grandchildren Isabel, Zoe, Corban, Cyrus, and Lily; nieces and nephews including niece Linda Weaver King; daughter-in-laws Jackie Lantz and Valinda Rossi, family friends, Keith Cross and Liz Foulser , and faithful cat Thom, all of whom were blessed to have been loved by Eileen.A memorial service will be held December 18, 12pm, at the Rising House, 131 N. High St, Lancaster, OH.
