Eva Jean Poling

Eva Jean Webb Poling was born May 5, 1934 and died February 10, 2018. She was born in Athens County, Ohio to Harry and Jenny (Newman) Webb. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Robert Howard Poling. She is survived by her son Roger (Jennifer) Poling and daughter Carol (Jeff) Koksal and three grandsons Daniel, Alex (fiancé’ Justin Barr) and Andrew. Also surviving are her sisters Leona Berry and Harriet Beougher, her sister and brother in law Patty and Don Blake as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Webb and sisters Patty Householder and Jo Ann Hyatt. Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church and active in the Altar Guild. She enjoyed golfing with friends at every opportunity and with the Ladies of Pine Hills.

Friends and Family may visit at The Rising House at the corner of Wheeling and High Streets across from The First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 13 from 6-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 15 at 11:00 AM. The family will also receive visitors at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Rockbridge.
