
Fritz A. Highley, 83, of Lancaster passed away on Saturday, Jan 6, 2024at home. He was born September 5, 1940 to the late Carl Wendell Highley and Miriam Adele (Bookman) Highley. Fritz attended Lancaster High School and owned Fritz’s Barber Shop. He retired from barbering in September 2002. He also served as a Pleasant Township Trustee from 1998-2009.
Fritz loved being around people and will be missed at his favorite restaurants.
Fritz is survived by his sons Ed (Pam) Highley, and Mike (Ronda) Highley; daughter Kelli Marvin; Grandchildren Mickey Marvin, Kayla (Aaron) Kidwell, Kendra Carlisle, Kaci (Chris) Grecek, Evan Highley, Karsen Highley; five great grand children; brother Gary Highley, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois A. Highley; his parents; sisters Joy Highley and Nancy Keitz, and brother Ted Highley.
Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers that he’s had over the past few years, especially Nikki Burge. And thanks to all of Fritz’s favorite servers, and dinner crew. You were like family to him.
Funeral services will be held at Halteman Fett and Dyer Funeral Home, 436 N. Broad St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 10 from 2-4 and 6-8, and 10-11 on Thursday, January 11. Services will be held 11 am on Thursday, January 11. A graveside service will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster.
