Henry Owen Young

HENRY OWEN YOUNG, 76, passed away Sunday June 8, 2014 at the Pickering House after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Henry was born October 14, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of the late John and Juanita Young.

Henry was a member of The First Church of God in Lancaster where he was an Elder. He retired after 25 years from Loeb Electric in Columbus, Ohio. He also worked at Lancaster Sales. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.

He is survived by; his wife Nancy (Moe) Young, with whom he was married for 58 years, his daughter, Pamela (Gary) Paustenbach, from Canton, OH ; son, Patrick (Susan) Young from Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren: Kevin Paustenbach and Kelli (Josh) Cary; brothers: Wesley (Cathy) Young and John (Brinda) Young, sister Janet (Ronnie) Moore, brothers -in-law Don Hines, Dick (Joy) Moe, and Tom (Cathy) Moe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as two aunts.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth (Young) Hines.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the First Church of God, 730 E. 6th Ave. Lancaster, Ohio with Rev. Karl Hartmann officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be made in Henry's memory to the First Church of God or Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, OH. 43130. Graveside service will immediately follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
