Irene Knight

Irene H Knight,94 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Feb. 15, 2024. Irene was born on 10/22/1929 in Greenville, PA to the late Fred and Zelma Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Verlin Knight, great granddaughter Sophia Brenning, brother Lloyd Bennett, sisters-June(Everett) Foust, Margaret (Richard)Garvin, Grace(Richard )Schuster, Elma (Pat )Maier.

Survived by daughters: Roxanne Drake- Thornville, OH, Kimberly (Robert) Hill-Lancaster, OH, and Gaynel Knight-Burr Oak, OH. Grandchildren- Emily(Josh) Brenning-Lancaster, OH, Zoe Drake-Grandview,OH, Kelly Kern-Mary Esther, Fla., and Rudy(Makayla) Hill-Lancaster, Oh. Great grandchildren Braden, Liam, Greyson,and Bennett Brenning, and Benjamin and Alessandra Malone, and many nieces and nephews.

Irene loved playing Bridge/Euchre, she loved the occasional gambling trip, loved golfing, bowling, and vacationing with family and friends. Irene was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lancaster, OH for 60 years.

A special thank you to Reflections Assisted Living Center staff and friends, Fairfield Medical Center, and the Fairhope Hospice for the care given to Irene during this difficult time, and to Irene’s neighbors of the 800 block of King Street for the many years they helped to keep Irene in her home, Meals on Wheels, Visually impaired services, Salvation Army Daycare, and visiting nurses.
