After graduating from Cambridge High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served honorably for 4 years. After 40 years of driving semi – trucks, Jim retired and began a new chapter in his life. Jim enjoyed bowling and was a Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Jim was predeceased by wife, Virginia Parks, Parents James F. and Ada L. Parks, sisters Gertrude Turner, Helen Dennis, and Marylou Furia. Survived by his children daughter, Rusti Parks, son James R. (Barbara) Parks, and daughter Jennifer J. (Doug) Falke. Jim is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and good friend Joyce Hartley.
A celebration of life will be held at the Halteman-Fett-Dyer Funeral Home 436 N. Broad St. Lancaster, Ohio on March 23, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, with service to follow. Family suggests that contributions be made to Fairhope Hospice.
