Jerry A. Reed

Jerry A. Reed , age 73, of Hide-A-Way Hills, Sugar Grove went to be with the lord on April 30, 2012 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. Born on May 28, 1938 in Lawrence County OH to parents Carl and Geraldine Reed. Retired from Western Electric/Lucent with 36 years

of service. Jerry was an avid bowler and bowled a 300 game in 1990. He enjoyed playing golf and attending theatre shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Rick.

Survived by wife, Carolyn (Susie) of 36 years, his children, Victor (Tina) Reed, Pickerington OH, Annette (Eddie) McFerrin, Stapleton AL, Nancy (Curt) Kalagin, Mobile AL, Shirley Reed, Mendenhall MS, Carolyn's daughter, Debbie (Mark) Hennosy, Canal Winchester OH, 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Also survived by Carolyn's brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Libby Brooks, sister-in-law, Barbara (Ken) Spiker, many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Family and friends may call Monday, May 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 29439 Hide-A-Way Hills Road (Horns Mill Rd), Logan, OH 43138 with Pastor Violet I. Meek officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
