September 6, 1977 – January 15, 2025
Jill Daubenmier, 47, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on January 15, 2025. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on September 6, 1977, Jill was a bright light who left a lasting impact on everyone she met. A proud graduate of Lancaster High School’s Class of 1995, Jill continued her education with passion, earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ohio University and a master’s degree from Marygrove College. She devoted 20 years to shaping young minds as an admired and decorated elementary school teacher at Lancaster City Schools. Jill will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, radiant smile, and her boundless love and generosity. She was a selfless individual who consistently put the needs of others ahead of her own. Jill cherished the outdoors and could often be found gardening, golfing, or relaxing on the beach. An avid sports fan, she rarely missed a game featuring her beloved Buckeyes, Cowboys, Bengals, or Reds. Her passion for helping others extended beyond the classroom. Jill proudly served as an honorary chair for the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Race for the Cure in 2017 and contributed to numerous fundraising and charitable efforts.
Above all, Jill found her greatest joy in being a mother to her two sons, Austin Rings and Jacob Jubach, who were her pride and joy. In addition to her sons, Jill’s memory will be cherished by her devoted husband, Beau Daubenmier; her parents, Debbie and Tom Allen and Mike Atrostic & Carol Shivers; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Amanda Atrostic, along with their sons, Desmond and Daxton; her sister, Emily Allen, and her fiancé, Auston Sorg; as well as countless other family members, friends, and former students whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home in Lancaster. A short service will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to FairHoPe Hospice of Lancaster or the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Jill’s honor. Jill’s legacy of love, generosity, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
