Juliette A. Jessup

Juliette Ashbrook Jessup, 73, of Lancaster, Ohio, left this world into the loving arms of God our Father on Jan. 4, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1956 . Julie was a loving mother of 3. She was once actively involved in community service; Hospital Twig 18, Heart Fund Ball committee and City Council – Councilperson –at-Large, American Legion Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, and Cub Scout leader. As her children grew, she worked in social services as a volunteer at Information & Crisis (I &C). Julie worked her way up to Director of Information & Referral – a United Way agency. She always enjoyed helping others and will be remembered for her work in the community helping those in need. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Survived by: her devoted husband of 54 years, Robert K. Jessup Sr., daughter Suzanne (Darian) Radabaugh of Utica, son Benton (Carrie) Jessup of Lancaster, daughter –in-law Sherry Jessup of North Carolina, and her 4 wonderful grandchildren: Lindsay, Ryan and Colin Jessup, and Abigail Radabaugh, step grandchildren: Amber, Kyle and Evan Radabaugh, brother George (Courtney)and children Jenifer and Butch Ashbrook of Tucson, AZ, several nieces and nephews, numerous special friends, and loving pet, Lemon.

Proceeded in death by: son Robert (Skeeter) Jessup Jr. and parents George and Susan Ashbrook.

Loving cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Chaplain Rev. James Ross officiating. Visiting hours are one hour prior to service. The committal of ashes will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Granville, Ohio at a later date.

The family suggests contributions to United Way of Fairfield County in Julie’s memory.
