She was born Feb. 25, 1928 in Wilkesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Shirley Spires. She was a member of Maple Street United Methodist Church. Margaret was a former member of Shalom United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Veterans Hospital, Pomeroy, Ohio, and Riviera Cabinets, Lancaster, Ohio. She is survived by sons Dennis (Sandy) Schilling of Louisville, Ky. and Steven (Pam) Schilling of Buckeye Lake, Ohio and a daughter Jane (John) Morrison of Lancaster, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; Kim (Scott) Jackson, Steven (Stephanie) Schilling, Brittany (Matt) Poti, Joshua (Yarina) Morrison, Jordan (Kali) Morrison, Jenny Morrison; 7 great grandchildren; and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by Jacob Schilling her husband of 63 years, her parents and her brother Don Spires.
Visitation will be Thursday Feb 27 from 11 - 1 at Halteman-Fett and Dyer Funeral Home 436 N. Broad Street, Lancaster with services immediately following with Reverend David Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maple Street United Methodist Church, 438 East Wheeling Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
