
Mary Viola Klinker age 97 died at LanFair Center 04 Jan 2013. Mary was born 28 May 1915 in Rushcreek Township (Pleasantview Road west of Durbin Run Road), Fairfield County. She was a full time stay at home mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A 1934 graduate of Lancaster High School, a member Order of Eastern Star, Tarhe Ladies Shrine, and St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She served as Den Mother to two Cub Scout Dens. She loved a challenging game of SkipBo.
Mary is survived by her four children, son Jack (Barbara) Klinker of Lancaster, daughter Mary Corinne Klinker (Sue Staiger) of Mentor, Ohio, son Dick (JoAnn) Klinker of Durham, NC, and son Dwight (Susan Cook) Klinker of Lancaster; six grandchildren (Elizabeth, Eric, Suzanne, Stephanie, Heather, Cheryl), nine great grandchildren (Taylor, Tad, Elaina, Logan, Nicholas, Christopher, Abigail, Madison, and Nicholas) and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sister-in-law Jean Wright of Columbus.
Preceded in death by her husband Howard E Klinker, Sr and her parents William O and Viola (Scholl) Beery, and sisters Opal Miller, Pauline Keister, Helen Klinker, Wilma Scholl, and brothers Emerson Beery and William Beery Jr and daughter-in-law Bonnie Klinker.
Internment will be held at a later date.
The family thanks the entire staff at LanFair Center for the loving care and attention given to Mary during the two years she was a resident.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or FairHope Hospice both of Lancaster.
