Melvin “Mel” R. Case of Canal Winchester, Ohio born March 31, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio passed away February 11, 2022 at Kobacker House surrounded by his loving family. Mel was a US Navy Veteran, He retired from the Columbus Dispatch working in the press room. Preceded by father, Melvin E. Case and mother, Agnes Peterson; brother, Jim Case; son-in-law Michael Tabar.
Survived by wife, JoAnn Case of 41 years; daughters, Cyndi (Jim) Williams and Cheri (Craig) Jones; step-son, Kyle (Meike) Strohm; step-daughter, Lori Tabar; grandchildren, Brad Jones, Nathan Williams, Jenny Williams, Aaron Strohm, Alex Strohm, Jesica Tabar; great grandson, Aidan Williams; sister, Janet (Elmer) Prikkel; nieces and nephews; and special friends.
Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday February 21, 2022 at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Friends may call Monday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home. Thank you to the staff of Riverside ICU for the exceptional care they provided Mel.
