

Muriel Aileen Cave, 99 of Lancaster passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at The Springs at Wyandot Trail. Aileen was born on May 1, 1925 in Pickerington, Ohio to the late Arthur and Hazel Skidmore. She retired from Lancaster City Schools after serving in the cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed many winter vacations in Arizona. Aileen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a Campfire Girl leader, and volunteered for many years at the Fairfield Medical Center.
She is survived by her children, Dyane M. (Robert) Lee, Nancy L. Elder, Michael J. (Anne) Cave, and Kristi L. (Michael) Arter; grandchildren, Mackay and Hunter Lee, Matt and Tyler Elder, Alex Cave, Bristol Cave-LaCoste, Austin Cave, Felix Cave,Josh and Ashley Arter, Tim Coakley and Nick Rausch; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Lee, Thaddeus Elder, Eileen Cave-LaCoste, and James Cave; great-grandchildren by love, Alyssa and Alexis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Cave and daughters, Susie Rausch and Lorraine Coakley.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial is to follow at Lithopolis Cemetery. Visitation will take place ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either FairHope Hospice (282 Sells Rd Lancaster, OH 43130), Meals on Wheels (1515 Cedar Hill Rd Lancaster, OH 43130) or Foundation Dinners (1000 W 5th Ave Lancaster, OH 43130) in memory of Aileen.
