

Born on June 15, 1935, in Farmington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Anna and William Hillberry. She is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Hillberry and sisters Agnes Archer and Judith Speaks.
Regina attended Lancaster High School and then graduated with a registered nursing degree from the Lancaster Hospital Nursing School. As a young woman she served as a registered nurse in Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. After the birth of her third daughter, she chose to stay home and care for her children.
Regina is survived by her husband of 63 years David Johnston; her daughters Beckie Sanders of Antioch, IL, Melissa and husband Darryl Price of Reynoldsburg, OH, Deborah and husband Tim Williams of Columbus, OH and Leslie Johnston of Lancaster, OH; grandsons Brandon Kertesz and Chad and wife Svetlana Kertesz; granddaughters Katie and husband Christian Nunamann, Alison Williams, Audrey Williams, Charlotte Price and Ashley Williams; and great granddaughters Chole and Claire Kertesz.
Regina loved the special times when her extended family would gather for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, sewing, and decorating her home and passed those loves along to her daughters and family. For many years she cared for her youngest daughter who was born with down syndrome and was active in local developmental disability organizations and efforts.
A graveside service on Monday, October 25 at 1:00 pm will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery. It will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Alice Wolf, associate pastor, First United Methodist Church
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care, Kim and Pete Sinewe, Gary and Becky Bailes, and Diane Faulkner.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio.
