Born in Abington, PA, to James and Carrie Beidler of Ivyland, PA, he died peacefully in hospice care surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Hatboro High School, Grove City College, and a Master of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served in the Army Air Corps. He was an ordained Presbyterian minister who served the Yellowcreek and Rushcreek Presbyterian churches in Ohio. He was the managing minister of Geneva Hills Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Center, Lancaster, OH, where he served for 30 years. He shared a deep love of nature and found God's presence in all living things. His motto was "Let It Live."
He is survived by Martha Sisley Beidler, his wife of 61 years, and their three children, Anne, Mary, and James, son-in-law Jon, daughter-in-law Lori, and five grandchildren, Rachel, Mack, Molly, Hannah and Qiu Qing.
A memorial service will be held at Rushcreek Presbyterian Church, West Rushville, Ohio, on December 13, 2015, at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rushcreek Presbyterian Church, 7741 Main Street, Rushville, OH 43150, in care of the Treasurer.
