Robert D. Beery Sr.

Robert D. Beery Sr. age 96 of Lancaster, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2011. He was a prominent fourth generation local farmer and cattleman and a life long supporter of his church and family and involved over the years in most local agricultural activities. Robert graduated from Lancaster High School Class of 1934, lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church of North Berne.

Survived by: his children, Janice R. Barnes, Dr. Kenneth E. Beery (Marci), Edward T. Beery, Robert D. Beery Jr. (Julie), grandchildren: Andrew Barnes, Dr. Kevin (Wendy) Beery, Kendra (Todd) Battershell, Dr. Kelli (Odhuu) Odhuu, Dr. Kyle (Jenny) Beery, Jill (Adam) Winters, David (Kalyn) Beery, great-grandchildren: Laura, Eric and Ellie Beery, Kory and Kieran Battershell, Jonathan Beery, Oko Odhuu, Adelyn and Landen Winters, sister-in-law, Irene Hoffman, brother-in-law James F. Scholl, Neil R. (Betty) Scholl, many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his wife Lucille Scholl Beery, parents, Edward T. and Ella Ruble Beery, sisters: Osceola (Charles) Johnson, Nelli Beery, Anna (Cecil) Hite, Relva (Carl) Duffy, brothers: Arthur Beery, Herbert (Margaret) Beery, George (Helen) Beery, and a son-in-law, Paul Barnes.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made in his memory to the First United Methodist Church, Lancaster, Ohio.
