
Robert Karl Totten, 89 of Lancaster passed away on January 23rd, 2017 at the Pickering House. Robert was born on October 27th, 1927 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late H. Virgil and Rose K. Totten. He was a United States Army veteran serving his country during WWII. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 11, as well as the Emanuel Lutheran Church of Lancaster. He was the longtime owner of Totten’s Carpet in Lancaster.
Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret Arlene Totten; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Dr. Michael R. Totten and Wendy L. Totten of San Lorenzo, Calif.; grandson, Virgil F. Totten of Herndon, VA; granddaughter, Joanna Burkhart and her husband John Burkhart of Tallahassee, FL, as well as 1 great-granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Lou Totten, and his brother Richard V. Totten.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church at 11AM, with Pastor Mark Raddatz officiating. Friends may call 1HR prior to the service on Thursday. Burial is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster. Funeral Services are being arranged through HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME.
