Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Johanna (nee Blokzijl) 2010. Cherished father of Walter and Annette, Diane and Ed, Alice and Wally, Margaret and Jack, Jo-Anne and Herman, Ralph and Linda, Art and Sandra, and Rick and Michelle. Beloved Opa of 39 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Art was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1951. After many years in Ontario he and his wife spent their retirement in British Columbia.
He will be remembered by all he knew for his generosity, humorous anecdotes, and quick wit. He was a caring father who took great pride in the accomplishments of family.
Funeral will take place at Langley Canadian Reformed Church on September 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer‘s Society.
