Danilo was born on September 27, 1939 to Adele Gobbo and Giovanni Beraldin in Cismon Del Grappa, Vicenza. As a young man, he came to Canada to work and build a better life. It was at this time he met the love of his life, Giovanna, while he was going to school to learn the English language.
On July 10, 1965 Danilo & Giovanna were married. Together they shared a beautiful life and raised three daughters, Daniela, Liana, and Rosanna.
Danilo spent his younger years in Canada, enjoying life to the fullest. Camping, fishing, and hunting were some of his favorite hobbies, which he often shared with family and friends. He took great pleasure in these adventures.
Danilo had a fulfilling career as a Hydraulic Mechanic, eventually running his own business, D.B. Hydraulics Ltd. In retirement, he embraced travel, fishing, landscaping, gardening, and spending cherished time with his family and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren to school and their sports activities where he could socialize with everyone. The parents all knew him as the one with funny stories who would always joke around and make them laugh. The children at school also knew him as a beloved grandpa who always had a pocket full of candy to share.
Danilo taught us how to laugh and that family came first. He was a constant source of support, always there when you needed him.
Sadly, on December 16, 2019, after 54 years of marriage, Danilo lost his loving wife to a tragic accident. He carried on, cherishing her memory and knowing they would reunite one day.
On May 19, Danilo slipped from our embrace and was finally reunited with his lost love. Danilo was predeceased by his wife Giovanna and his grandchild Lucia. He is survived by his daughters: Daniela, Liana, and Rosanna, his son-in-laws: Darren, Brennon, and Len, and eight grandchildren: Tyler, Miranda, Brodan, Shanna, Tanner, Marcus, Sofia, and Stella.
We miss you dearly Papa, Nonno, and Zio; we won’t forget the love, hugs, and laughs you gave us. We love you.
