Doreen Olive Graham

Doreen Graham, aged 75 years, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Saturday, September 3rd. She is survived by her loving husband, Rick Vael, her sons and daughters-in-law, Cory and Brandy Graham, and Robb and Dawn Graham. Doreen also had an extended family in her life which included her stepchildren and their spouses Christy and Sandy Innes and Rob and Amy Vael. Doreen was very proud of her grandchildren Michael, Annalisa, Colin, Thomas, Mackenzie, Nolan, Camryn, Luke, and Jaxon. Doreen entered into rest while being comforted by her family and listening to Rod Stewart.

Doreen and her older sister, Helen were raised by her parents, Marius and Margaret Swedahl, in New Westminster BC. Doreen was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and wife. She was also a dedicated Elementary school teacher who touched the lives of many children over her long career in New Westminster. She enjoyed reading, card making, traveling, and spending down time at Birch Bay and the Indian Palms in California.

Doreen’s family would like to thank the team at the Langley Lodge for all the love and support they and Doreen received while she was in their care.
