Elaine Patricia Ullrich

'Lainie' was kind, gentle, infinitely wise and loved by all who knew her beautiful smile. She will be deeply missed by her life partner and best friend, Sarah Lindsay, her sister, Liana Gramza, her nieces and nephews, Brittany and Taylor Dennett and Colton Gramza, her relatives and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Eddie Ullrich, and her grandmother, Olive O’Connor.

Elaine had a very successful 30 year career with the BC Government.....starting with Highways and finishing with Employment Standards.

During the last 20 years, Elaine pursued her newfound passion for horses. She and her equine partner, Remi, enjoyed trail rides, competing in dressage, and were a member of the Canadian Horse quadrille team that performed at many local venues, including annual shows at the PNE. She selflessly donated countless hours of her time to the best interests of Canada’s National Horse….acting as past Director for the provincial association (CHHAPS) and past Director of the Canadian Horse Rescue & Rehoming Society (CHRRS). She also volunteered at the Pacific Riding for the Disabled (PRDA) and the 2010 Olympics.

Sarah and Liana would like to thank the Palliative Home Health nurses (Fraser Health) for their compassionate and heartfelt assistance.
