

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Ethel Paisley in Langley, BC on January 28, 2026. Eleanor Paisley, née Erven, lived to see 90 years of age and passed away peacefully at Langley Lodge surrounded by family.
Eleanor was born on August 11, 1935 in Minnedosa, Manitoba, where she grew up on a farm with her parents (William and Irene) and 5 siblings. While attending Nursing training in Dauphin, Manitoba, she met her future husband, Jim. Eleanor and Jim lived together on a farm in Grandview, Manitoba for many years. Besides helping her husband on the farm and raising 3 children, Eleanor worked at the Grandview Hospital as an RN until she retired. After leaving the farm, Eleanor and Jim lived in Grandview, Manitoba for a few years before relocating to Langley, BC to be close to family.
Some of the things that Eleanor enjoyed during her life were square dancing, playing cards, gardening, baking, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim, her granddaughter, Melaina, her sisters Janet and Wilma, her brothers-in-law Larry, Pete, Jim and her sister-in-law, Dawn.
Eleanor is remembered by her children Brenda (Darrell), Bob (Margie), Dave (Teresa), her grandchildren, Tracy (Randy), Stephen and Meagan, her siblings, Lorne, Marilyn, Diane (Les), and many nieces and nephews.
