AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Elizabeth Jean Boychuk

20 septembre 1947 – 27 mars 2026
Avis de décès de Elizabeth Jean Boychuk
AUX SOINS DE

Henderson's Langley Funeral Home

Elizabeth "Jean" Boychuk was born on September 20, 1947, to her parents, Basil Roy McWilliams and Marjorie Eleanor Scott.

Together, Jean and Larry raised two children and were blessed with four grandchildren. Their eldest son, Kelly Grant, and his wife Jeanette (Vergera), are the loving parents of Alexandria Vienna (9) and Aria Rose (3.5). Their youngest daughter, Laura Jean, and her partner Rod Wardell, along with Laura's two beautiful children, Paige Brooklyn (25) and Chase Thomas (21) Mackie, brought great joy to Jean's life.

Jean's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren picking them up from school, hosting sleepovers, playing games, and sharing gentle wisdom and life lessons. Her youngest grandchildren, Vienna and Aria, were just beginning to feel the warmth of her love and affection, making their time together all the more precious.

In 2010, Jean and Larry moved to Langley and became active members of North Langley Community Church. After participating in an Alpha course, they embraced a life of faith and walked closely with the teachings of the Gospel. Jean devoted countless hours volunteering at the church, offering her time in the office and warmly welcoming others, especially through the Seniors Group.

Through her church community, Jean formed a special bond with the Price Family and their three children- Lucy, Ella, and Micah. She created lasting memories through simple, meaningful moments: playing games, carving pumpkins, hiking, caring for the environment, and sharing meals in her home.

Jean was a creative, quiet, wise and vibrant spirit. She found joy in painting, home décor, theatre, playing piano, writing, and music. She loved bird watching, tending to plants and flowers, reading, ballroom dancing, travelling, golfing, and skiing. Jean loved the Christmas Season and her family being together. Above all, she treasured her deep and enduring friendships with many close friends she made throughout the years in Kelowna, Calgary and Langley, BC.

Jean's life was one of love, kindness, creativity, and quiet generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
