Georgina Patricia Pister (born Sichello) passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in her home in Langley, British Columbia. She was 80 years old and would have celebrated her 81st birthday this March.
Georgina was born on March 28, 1945, in St. Boniface, Manitoba and grew up in Carnduff, Saskatchewan. She later married the love of her life, Victor Pister, and they shared a loving marriage until Victor’s passing in 2014. Together, they raised two children, Eliot and Paula.
In her early years, Georgina taught high school students and later in life, she found great joy working in real estate, where she helped families find their perfect homes — always with care, generosity, and often a homemade lasagna to welcome them into their new beginning.
Georgina had a remarkable gift for effortlessly “making things beautiful.” Whether she was sewing Barbie doll dresses for her young daughter, helping her sew boxers for a 300-pound pig in support of her daughter's new career as a wardrobe stylist, or expressing herself through cake decorating, knitting, canning, cooking, decorating for any occasion, or entertaining, her creativity knew no bounds. She found joy in creation and shared it freely with others.
She had the biggest heart and was always willing to help, volunteer, or be a first responder when her friends and family needed her most. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Georgina will be forever remembered for her joyful voice — singing “Happy Birthday,” “Happy Mother’s Day,” “Happy Anniversary,” and any other occasion she could happily adapt to this tune.
Georgina is lovingly survived by her children Eliot and Paula; her daughter-in-law Megan Cook and son-in-law Doug Veith; her five grandchildren Ava Blue, Charlie, Madelaine, Bennett, and Isabella; her brother Fred; and her sisters Val and Connie.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honour and remember our beloved mom, grandma and friend.

Dress with sparkle encouraged.✨
Georgina loved sparkle. If you feel inspired to wear your holiday glimmer or glam, or anything that feels joyous and celebratory, please do. Of course, Georgina was anything but dull, but there is absolutely no pressure — only if you feel inspired to bring a little extra to celebrate her in whatever way feels right to you.
A light menu, coffee, and teas will be served.
Please RSVP if possible. We know it is last minute, but Georgina did not do anything slowly.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Breast Cancer Research, the Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice are welcome.
