The youngest of 8 siblings—Dessie, Robert,Parkie , Stan, Dolores, Marie, and Laura—she grew up surrounded by family and love.
She spent part of her early years in England before returning to Dublin for a holiday, where she met the love of her life, Charlie. Their connection was instant, and together they built a life in Dublin before immigrating to Canada in 1979 with their five children. In 1983, they welcomed their youngest child, completing their family. They first settled in Langley before building their dream home in Surrey.
Gwendoline was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with three more expected this year.
She spent her final days surrounded by love and care at Langley Hospice, where she peacefully passed away on February 9, 2025.
