Herb was loved by so many people, anyone who met him loved him and his knowledge and stories. Herb never complained but was a good listener and would listen to anyone that needed a friend.
Herb was a long shoreman for 40 years and a very proud union man. He loved his racehorses with his partner Woody and was an avid sports fan watching sports on TV (baseball, hockey, curling). In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was very lucky in playing the lottery and keno and loved taking trips in his motorhome with his wife Dorothy. Two of his favorite trips with her was Graceland because Dorothy loved Elvis, and Daytona 500 because of Herb and Dorothy’s love for Nascar. Herbs favorite part of his life was his family. He was a very compassionate and loving man and will be missed by many. Everything about Herb reflects on who we are today.
Herb spent the last of his years living with his Grandson Timothy and his wife Elizabeth and their 2 children Hayley and Matthew. As well as their 2 dogs and 4 cats. We can't thank them enough for looking after Herb and showing him love and opening their home to him. He loved being there and meeting all your friends and being a part of all the household activities.
Herb is survived by his daughter Karen (husband Matt), and his son Robert (wife Donna), and Grandsons Jeff, Chris, Tim, Andrew and Jason. His Great Grandkids, Josh, Jordan, Maria, Brady, Austin, Chris, Mikayla, Marcus, Mila, Alana, Logan, Hayley, Matthew, Mika, Makenzie as well as many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Herb is predeceased by his Wife Dorothy Vlassis, His Dad Andrew Keay, his Mom Gwendolyn Keay, and his sister Shirley Corbet.
Rest in Paradise Herb, go be with all your loved ones who have passed. Until we meet again.
