He moved to BC in his early 20’s where he met and married the love of his life, Elsie (nee Teichgrab), on March 28, 1954. He worked as a driver for a moving company until he joined Block Bros. Realty as a salesman and then a manager until he retired. Next to his wife and family of 5 girls, Isaac loved horses, particularly his horse Knobby Twist. He raised Quarter Horses and competed in cutting for most of his adult life. He loved competition of any kind and at 65 Isaac took up track and field and joined the Langley Mustangs and the BC Senior Games Society. He competed in 100 metre races, 400 metre relays, javelin, hammer throw, long jump, high jump and shot put. He ran his last 100 metre race in June of 2018 at the age of 89. He kept active his whole life in various sporting and social activities. He especially enjoyed playing with a slow pitch team in summer and a curling team in winter.
Isaac passed away peacefully on May 22, 2023. He was sadly predeceased by his beautiful wife of 51 years, Elsie, in 2005. Isaac leaves behind his daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce (Walter), Shirley, Diane (James), Colleen (Bill) and Debra (Mike), his grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle (Cam), Kerry (Ashton), Spencer (Sara) and Sawyer (Andrea) as well as his great grandchildren, Kayla, Kesler, Kenzi, Hudson, Bryn and Avery, to mourn his passing.
